Beginning of Our Journey

Al-Irsyad Satya (AIS) aspires to be a world class educational institution offering its students the opportunity to sit for both local Indonesian Examination and also the well-known International General Certificate for Secondary Education (IGCSE) from Cambridge International Examination England. The school welcomes students seeking an Islamic education that emphasized Islamic values and academic knowledge.

With the initiative of the Yayasan Board under the leadership of Mr. Ridwan Mohammad, an MoU of Al IrsyadSatya Islamic School (AISIS) between Yayasan Parahyangan Satya and Madrasah Al Irsyad Al Islamiah Singapore (MAIS) was signed on 16th of January 2007 at Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta, witnessed by Dr. Yaacob Ibrahim, Singapore Minister of Islamic Affairs and Juwono Sudarsono, Indonesia Minister of Defense.

This cooperation is established to build a school with a strong religious curriculum similar to that of Madrasah Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiah Singapore which is under the purview of MUIS (Islamic Religious Council of Singapore). MAIS itself is well-known as the madrassah which integrates ukhrawi (religious) curriculum with that of academic studies to produce graduates of quality. The curriculum which is adopted from MAIS and Cambridge includes: Science, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Arabic, Qur'anic Studies, and English

AISIS was established in 2007 as a national plus school. In 2011, AISIS was acknowledged as Cambridge International Examination Center ID 234 and started conducting International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exam. With only 22 administration and teaching staff, the first batch of 101 students was enrolled in this school for the Nursery (Play Group) to Secondary 1 (junior school grade 1). During its five-year journey, the school expanded to 99 staffs. The student population increased five fold to 711, from Nursery to Pre-University 2 (high school grade 3).

This significant increment in students’ enrollment is also supported by Parahyangan Satya Foundation's commitment to expand its facilities which can support the latest teaching and learning activities. Some of the facilities that have been assembled include: faster internet access in all areas of the school, futsal and basketball fields, interactive teaching room, and the latest being the Secondary and Pre University School building.

With the strong commitment of all parties, Insha Allah Al-Irsyad Satya Islamic School will produce graduates who are faithful, religious, virtuous, and possess superior academic knowledge to become Khalifahfil-Ard in Indonesia.
